The finish
Sealed by light, shielded by Teflon.
CV. Sony Sentral Industri finishes solid Suar wood slabs with UV coating and a Teflon protective layer. The live edge stays visible. The surface is harder, clearer, and easier to live with than a conventional top coat.
Teflon
The top layer repels water, oil, and stains from daily use.

How it is made
Four steps, then the grain stays clear.
01 · Kiln drying
Dried to 10% ± 2%
Each Suar slab is kiln-dried and checked with a moisture meter before coating, so it stays stable in air-conditioned rooms.
02 · Fine sanding
Levelled for the film
The surface is levelled and fine-sanded to open the grain and give the coating an even base.
03 · UV coating
Cured in seconds
UV sealer and UV top coat harden under ultraviolet lamps into a dense, clear film. No soft surface, no lingering odour.
04 · Teflon layer
Water, oil, and stains
A final Teflon layer repels water, oil, and stains, so coffee and spills wipe off before they soak in.

Twelve Suar slab tables.
Solid Suar (Samanea saman), live edge, UV sealer, UV top coat, and a Teflon layer. Legs are powder-coated steel or solid wood. Size on request.
Office meeting table
One live-edge slab gives a boardroom or co-working room a single surface that stands up to laptops, cups, and long working days.
Dining set
Pair the slab with solid teak dining chairs and rattan-cane backs. Spills wipe off the Teflon layer after dinner.
